About Me

My name is Ally and Iā€™m so excited youā€™re here! I am an Occupational Therapist, Holistic Nutritionist, and Gillespie Approach Trained Craniosacral Fascial Therapy Practitioner. I am passionate about blending all of my experience and interests in a way that empowers you on your journey to live a freely nourished lifestyle full of nourishing foods and participating in nourishing activities while feeling your absolute best. When I got pregnant with my daughter, I was determined to complete my Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification through Sarah Duvall, DPT so that I could be knowledgeable in how to best support my body during pregnancy and after birth, so I am also trained in that. My pregnancy and birth inspired me to be able to help others in this stage of life as well, so if you found me because of my interest in this area, welcome - and congratulations on your bundle of joy! Iā€™m so happy youā€™re here and trusting me on the most important journey youā€™ll ever embark on as you bring your little one(s) into the world! :)

As an Occupational Therapist, I am trained to analyze activities in order to provide assistance and recommendations to help individuals optimally engage in the daily activities that occupy their time (occupations). This looks different for everyone, and that is why my programs will be tailored to YOU and YOUR specific needs. Want to learn a new occupation of reading food labels and understanding what you are putting into your body and how those ingredients are nourishing you? Iā€™m here to help you establish those new routines! Want to learn how to adjust to your new life after having a baby and adapting to your bodyā€™s increasing demands for more nourishment in your postpartum period? Iā€™m here to help you find a balance between where your identity meets that of your new bundle of joy in a way that is life-giving to both of you!

As a Holistic Nutritionist, I will serve as a mentor who empowers you and provides ongoing support and guidance as you set goals and make sustainable changes that improve your health, through high-quality nourishment. I will be with you every step of the way on your journey to find out what your unique nutritional needs are and how to best meet them within your means and comfort zones. Nutrition is the foundation of practically every physiological function of the body, and I aim to inspire you to view food as nourishment, and then understand how to best fuel your body with the nutrients it needs to thrive.

Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT) techniques are designed to gently unwind and release accumulated fascial strain throughout the body that is accumulated through birth trauma, accidents, injuries, and more. These gentle, hands-on techniques to release fascial strain allow optimal mobility and better brain function. When the craniosacral fascial system is loose and open, there is free flow of cerebrospinal fluid to help nourish and cleanse toxins in the body. When this system is restricted, by strained/tight fascia, dysfunction is seen throughout the body that has difficulty resolving without releasing the fascia. My interest in becoming a CFT Practitioner started on our journey to release our daughterā€™s tethered oral tissues, in an effort to take control of her healing at home and give her the best opportunity to heal and function optimally post-release.

I am from Central Massachusetts, but currently reside in Southern New Hampshire with my husband and our daughter. I studied Kinesiology and Public Health in undergrad at Miami University in Oxford, OH (2016) and then went to Washington University in St. Louis to obtain my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (2018). I received my Holistic Nutrition Certificate from AFPA in March of 2022 and attended the Gillespie Approach CFT Training in April of 2023. I am so excited to blend my love of the nourishing the human body with principles of occupational therapy to help you reach your goals!

Blending my passions of occupational therapy and holistic nutrition helps me to look at you as a whole person that is comprised of dynamic physiological needs that interact with your environment in ways that either promote or impede wellness. My love for CFT perfectly fits into my other offerings because if the body is still holding onto fascial strain, every other therapy someone attempts is only going to be a band-aid. CFT addresses the root cause of so much dysfunction throughout the body and is often the ā€œmissing pieceā€ people are looking for on their healing journey. It is my goal to empower you to engage in occupations that nourish your whole body so that you can do everything you need and want to do on a daily basis. Understanding nutritional and lifestyle recommendations can be overwhelming, and this space can be oversaturated with cookie cutter health advice that isnā€™t customized to your specific needs. Letā€™s work together to navigate the information to determine what practices work best for YOU to promote overall health and wellbeing.
